October 18‒24, 2015, is RightCare Action Week, a grassroots initiative of the Lown Institute, a nonprofit think tank, built on taking action to remind patients and health care professionals of “what good medical care can and should be.” Throughout the week, people across the country will take action to show what better health care—“right care”—looks like.
Here at the Foundation and at our sister organization, Healthwise, we encouraged employees to think about a personal health experience they would feel comfortable sharing on our internal communication platform. This effort would help create awareness among coworkers about overdiagnosis and overtreatment. We also encouraged employees to think about what “right care” means to them and to participate in the “What RightCare Means to Me” photo campaign. Here’s what some of our employees said.
